Présentation du Laboratoire de Phonétique et Phonologie - UMR7018

The LPP is a Mixed Research Unit (UMR 7018) specialized in teaching and research in experimental phonetics and in phonology.  The LPP has more than forty members, consisting of 7 researchers (including 4 senior researchers), 11 teaching and research faculty (including 3 professors), 1 engineer, 1 administrative manager, and more than 25 doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows.

A central research theme has taken shape over the years: the integration of phonetics and phonology.  This is a problem of current interest given the significant but excessively independent development of phonetics and phonology over many years.

The LPP has established an intellectual climate favorable to research in this direction.

Its principal long-term goal is the achievement of an integrated model of phonetics and phonology.
